2010 subaru impreza outback sport 2.5 EJ253 engine and 142,000 miles.

So I took the car to get tires put on and an alignment then It started having issues. Before the issues that will be described where not present. When I try and start the car up it will crank a few times and not turn on or it will crank and turn on but idle very low and cut off and die unless I give the engine some gas and then it stays running but idles low. If requested I could take a video of the issue and get a link to it. This issue just started and I am concerned.

Thank you Smile

The first thing you need to do is have it scanned for any stored trouble codes.

You will likely have to perform a few more tests that will require some tools and equipment after that.

? Sounds like they disconnected the battery? That or in hoisting it something touched that shouldn't have been IDK but same as Hammer go get codes read see when it was reset last a 2010 should know with a good scanner. Seems like this car is relearning how to cover idle and 1,000 other engine adjustments that change over time, miles but stay in range.

That or just wild bad luck by chance it had a problem lurking and hoisting it alone ( even done right) just sped it up??

Hey thanks for the response. I scanned it with the advanced auto free fix finder and got code P0031 back looks like it's an o2 sensor. And I also was made aware that the catalytic converter has an exhaust leak. Unimpressed

That doesn't mean the sensor is bad. The 0/2 is a reporting sensor. It just mean the sensor is reporting a specific condition.

This is reporting low voltage which usually indicates a lean mixture. It can be a bad sensor but usually isn't.

I would look for an intake snorkel air leak or vacuum leak.
