Toyota 2K Revo AT starts won't drive Sign In

   Hi,

Toyotoa 2000 Revo Automatic 1.8L 68000 KM mileage

I've had this problem this morning and I'm really really desperate.

This morning, I moved my car to a different parking space. Everything was fine and dandy, up until to the point that I was fixing my parking alignment. All of a sudden, I found myself not being able to go on reverse, I tried to Drive forward, but I also couldn't move. I phoned my friend and he suggested that maybe it was the ATF as I said that I heard some clunking (or some sort of boiling) sound as I tried to start the car. I bought 5 Litres of ATF and I poured 3 L. The car still won't move into reverse and Drive.

My friend told me to let the ATF settle and utmost wait for at least 30 minutes and 1 hour. I decided I'll give it 6 hours before I try it.

Can someone please explain to me what happened?
How do I fix it?
What should I do if it still doesn't run?

Please help,

Regards,

It sounds like the the trans clutches could have been burned up if you had to add that amount of fluid/and if you heard clunking noises too, together thats a bad signPirate but here is one thing that need to be checked before assuming the worst . Inspect the cv shafts/ all other inspections trans has to be removed from vehicle, autozone carries a repair manual that shows DIY instructions /illustrations if you are able to tackle the jobUnsure

Thanks!

I had a mechanic look into the car and he said that the tube seems to be clogged that's why the fluid can't go in to the converter or something like that. What does it mean? And what could cause a burned up transmission clutch?

Just a note on this: If the trans was down even 2 liters the car probably wouldn't move at all to begin with. Just where the heck did FIVE liters go? Topping off is in 1/2 liter/qt increments,
