Water hose connector snapped Sign In

Hi guys,

Been having a problem with my Vauxhall Corsa 2004 1.2 where the coolant level has been dropping

Today whilst having a look for a leak I wiggled a water hose that feeds off the water pump and it snapped off in my hand. I.e. the plastic water connector that connects the hose to the water pump has snapped clean off (see pictures)

Water pump: http://tinypic.com/r/2zqu3qv/8

Hose:

I'm thinking of sticking a screw in the water pump to remove that bit of plastic and then replacing the connector on the end of the hose and refilling my coolant

Does this sound about right (not too clued up on cars)

Cheers
Chris

We don't have that vehicle here in the states, so advice is limited. Are you able to purchase the nipple that goes into the pump? You really don't want bits of broken plastic going down inside the pump.

Your probably better off installing a new pump.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I agree. That might not come out of there cleanly.

Re: Water hose connector snapped Sign In

I'd toss pump AND the hose. Make sure other end of hose is cooperating also,
