I have a 99 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and was driving home with the A/C blasting and steam started to come through the vents and I smelled antifreeze. Car temp never got hot . When I arrived home I noticed antifreeze leaking from under the glove box. Whats wrong and how do I fix this? Thanks in advance!

This happened to my '95 Isuzu Rodeo. The heater core had a hole in it. Rather than replace it I just bypassed it (connected the hoses together in the engine compartment) and was without a heater all Winter. But I live in San Diego so what am I crying about. Smile

More than likely iot is the heater core. It is not a quick or easy repair. We do these weekly and all my techs hate them. If you want to do it yourself, get good instructions and set aside an entire weekend. There is a very slim chance that the heater hoses have started to leak and are causing the leakage. Not very likely, but something to check first. Good luck and us know.
