I'm Using proton Gen2 - 1.6 cc Campro car 2006 model (15,800 miles) . from few days the engine knock few second after start the car in the morning.
the check engine light displayed. i send the car to agent they check it with computer & Diagnosist error code says its missed fire on the engine. Agent clean the throttle, injectors and replaced the all plugs & petol filter with genuine parts ( they replaced T Belt on the same date because its old five yeas) after start the engine check engine lite goes off and engine runs smoothly. But when i start the car on next day morning the engine knock again and check enging light came again.
can any one guess what can be the fault of my car??? Diagnosist dosent shows any fault on sensers ( only show engine miss fire) Please help me..

Re: engine knock Sign In

Guesses: A knock just when cold and a misfire that goes away. My guess is oil pressure can't build up fast enough. May have sustained damage despite the low miles. Possible that an hydraulic lifter for a valve leaks down overnight that shouldn't creating a noise (usually more like a ticking) and builds up pressure to be at correct self adjustment quickly, then behave such that it is no longer a cause of misfiring.

The diagnostic of misfire knows of only that it misfires not exactly why. This probably requires mechanically observing this for the short time it happens to determine what to do about it next for the fix. Sorry - that's my best guess for a noise + misfire that goes away for now. Know that if problem like this or any will not clearly show themselves when being checked it will be difficult to determine,

T
