Check engine Compression, maybe a bad rings? hope that helped I know its probly an expensive on. If you dont have a compression tester most auto parts stores will lend or rent one.

Are you getting a lot of fuel in all the cylinders or just one ? Compression will be low if a large amount of gas is washing the oil off the rings and going in the crankcase. Get a noid light from auto parts house and check all injector plugs while cranking eng. It shold blink . You could have a shorted driver in ecm. Another possiblity is a stuck open injector. Also , if your year has a pressure regulator (a snmall round can with a vac hose) on the fuel rail., take vac hose off and cycle key. if fuel comes out replace it..Whatever you find be sure to change oil/filter before driving . I think it was all injectors ,after we had all cylinders dried out ,we cranked it over and just fuel vapor came out . we had all plugs out when doing this . We thought it was just too cold and fixed its self (wishful thinking) or ice in fuel. We changed oil ,filter and pumped oil into cylinders ,cranked over with fuel pump relay out and plugs out to help with compression . We put plugs back in and everything else cranked over . WE got it to fire on each cylinder that was all pulled plug was wet with gas.I think I should try the noid light check. thanks for now

ramhead; Couple of things come to mind...Check coolant temp sensor reading on scan tool. Check MAP/BARO reading, also. Report back with readings... Are you certain that you are getting spark to the plugs during crank? You can try 'clear flooding' by holding the throttle to the floor. By doing this, you are shutting off the fuel and giving full air. (don't pump the pedal...just hold it to the floor,,,if it starts running, back off so as not to over rev the engine) Loren SW Washington

I tried the noid light it blinked normal. I cleaned battery post ,charged up battery and held gas pedal down. Wow it started up .Tried starting up several times ,started every time ran like a charm. It did not have a pressure regulator on the fuel rail I think its on top of fuel tank. Thanks for all the help I still don't know what was the problem, only thing maybe disconnecting battery reset something?

ramhead; Thanks for the update. Glad it worked. Still, may want to 'look' at the CTS so it doesn't happen again. Loren SW Washington
