i have a 97 contour 2.0 it cranks but will not start what can i do.

Need to know what you are missing. Is there spark? Is there fuel? Can you hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key to the on position? Please give us more information. I have a chrystal ball in my signature, but I can't tell what is missing. Halp us with more information.
