lancer 2.4L P2135

2005 Mitsubishi lancer ralliart 2.4L 148000 scheduled maintenance, NGK, synthetic oil I had and issue where my car would feel like it was having loss of power and the it would resume. sort of like a gust of wind hitting the car. one day I drove the car maybe 50 miles and the cars check engine light came on the car went in dull mode and would not accelerate I drove autozone and they gave me code p2135 after the car cooled off it went back to normal but the check engine light was still on. I cleaned the throttle body and the check engine light went away. only problem is that when the car is driven for long periods you can feel that loss of power. I feel like the car is going to crap out and leave me stranded. I don't know what to do since I have no codes but a car that's not running good.

The trouble code you were getting was for an abnormal throttle position sensor reading between the two TPS sensors in the throttle body. This could be from a bad throttle position sensor, throttle position sensors' circuit or wiring problem, or a faulty engine computer. Your going to need your mechanic to diagnose the problem. Since this is throttle by wire, when the computer detects a problem with either TPS signal it is going to go into the equivalent of Windows safe mode and limit engine power. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

sorry it took me a while to respond. i hit the forums and it said my TPS (throttle position sensor) was giving out. i tried to find it but for my car the individual part couldn't be bought, mitusbishi would only sell the entire throttle body. i could find it for both the 2.0 turbo on non turbo but not for 2.4L doing more research i found out the outlander uses exact same engine and the part was sold by itself for the outlander. i replaced it and car has been fine ever since
