oil light warning

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango 4x4/AWD 4.7 eng that I just bought and the oil light comes on when it gets hot at idle. The dealer replaced the sending sensor and the main sensor (that's what they said) and it seemed to stop for a little while but it still comes on. My friend said he had a Dodge years ago that did the same thing, he believes it is common with Dodge. Is there an adjustment for the oil pump pressure??

No, no adjustment. It jut sounds like a weak oil pump or it could have worn out main bearing contributing to it also. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
