How does the engine run?

Raw fuel getting into the crankcase can happen if you have a leaking fuel pressure regulator allowing fuel into the intake manifold, leaking fuel injector(s), and misfires caused by ignition or mechanical problems causing the fuel to wash out cylinders. Pull the vacuum line off the regulator and look for presence of fuel in the hose. Start the engine and watch for fuel coming out of the regulator nipple. May take several minutes to for fuel to come out in some cases.

P0420 is usually caused by a bad catalyst. The catalyst could be bad because improper fuel/air ratio related to the fuel contaminated oil or misfires. Best to solve the fuel in the crankcase problem and changing the oil. If the cat code comes back after the repair, cat needs to be replaced.
