What are you using to check the TPS sensor? If your using a volt meter, you can't sweep the entire range of the sensor with the engine running unless you want to blow the engine up.

Re: tps readings 96 altima Sign In

A multimeter and I did it.while it was.onn just key turned ion.

My issue is it idles good but under load it dont move. Sounds like a major miss.

I replaced plugs cap and rotor. Fuel filter. And check the cat for. Being clogged. The wires looked good.

Im just out of ideas. What I read was it aupose to be around .9 at closed 5.09 wide open. Then I seen videos .4 and 4.0 was "good" but for diff cars.

Even if the other spec is correct, it certainly wouldn't cause the symptoms you describe.

I found from a nissan its good. But what could be causing it?

Someone at work said it may be the throttle body but not sure

Any trouble codes stored in the engine computer? If so, what are the numbers?

What was the fuel pressure during the bogging?

Inspect the intake rubber air duct for rips.

You should be finding out why you have a cylinder 3 misfire code. The misfire will cause lack of power and bucking.

Could be an ignition problem if it only occurs when the engine is under load. Is there any oil down in number 3 spark plug well? You could swap plug wires and see if the misfire moves. How are the spark plugs?

Plugs are brand new. I am pulling plugs tonight but no oil was in it when I replaced them. I would get it rescanned however it wont make it ti autozone lol.

The only thing I havnt replaced was wires because they seemed good when I checking them. Cap rotor plugs all replaced

Have you done a compression test on this? If so, what are the numbers?

Oh really, exactly what did you use to test these wires?

Re: tps readings 96 altima Sign In

Ok first I want to say thanks to all of you and this whole problem was my dumbness. So I pulled.the new plugs today and all looked good. My friend was looming at it with me and I swear it wouldnt act up. I went to pull the wires again and one metal clip stuck but didnt break. Go take it was burnt a lottle. So replaced and problems gone. She got a full tune up for a simple wire hHa.

O and the pressure was good across all cylinders. And I just used the ild screw driver to check wires for.spark. that and continuity on multimeter. But im guessing under load it was faulting so the readings where misleading me. I now know the 4 colors of spark though
