2003 chevrolet trailblazer vortec 4200 over 80,000 miles I was driving around one day and made a stop at the store, when I got back in the truck my battery was competley dead. After I replaced the battery ,I noticed that the truck will not Idle properly ,when it warms upthe idle speed drops and then surges. if I let idle on its own ,it will then soon die. I thought maybe the alternator was going bad but all the lights seem to be just as bright as they ever were, and the power windows dont seem to be slowed any.All fuses are good and I havent seen any loose wires or vacumm lines. All suggestions will be appreciated

A couple of things you can try. Since you just replaced the battery, sounds like it may be a relearn problem. If you drive it for a day or so it will probably relearn on it's own. The second & best thing would be to clean the throttle body. If it gets too dirty the comp will compensate for it over time, problem being when the battery is disconnected it goes back to factory default settings which is now too low for the dirty throttle body resulting in dying at idle.
