van wont stay running Sign In

Im working on a 2001 dodge caravan with a 3.3 i put a up stream o2 sensor in it and it ran fine for a week or so.
they where driveing it and it quit and had it towed to me . i got it to start but could not raise the idel .
the egr tube that runs to the top of the intake will get hot just sitting at a idel so i took the egr valve off and covered the hole in the plentum and it ran fine so i thought it was the egr valve and repleaced it and its still doing the same thing seems like the engine isnt getting vacume when i pull off the vacume line i have no vacume.
any ides what it could be there is no ck engine light and no codes i have a scanner from snap on and i even unpluged a sensor to make the like come on to see if it was my scanner

Have you checked to see if converter may be clogged? If there is no way for the air to get out, air can not get in, no air in, no vacuum and engine will not run.

PMJIH; What kind of manifold vacuum are you seeing at idle and at cruise? How much backpressure are you seeing? Shouldn't be more that 2psi.
