! I don't know how he did the nozzle is larger than a gasoline one? Empty all of it, blow out lines. Probably have to remove fuel tank to get it all. It's still fuel a tad should just burn thru a lot wouldn't fire and be troubles. In mega years never dealt with exactly that rather they other way around, T

You are correct Tom. It is not possible to fill the tank with a diesel fuel. You'd have to fill gas cans one at a time can fit that Little Neck in the gas tank. I can see somebody running out of gas and getting a gas can and put in the wrong size in, but I can't see anybody doing that over and over again until the tanks full. The fuel nozzle will not fit in the filler neck from any diesel hose in any filling station in the United States. Orrin Great Britain or Germany or France for that matter that I know of personally. Since the pump nozzle is too big for the filler whole you'd have to set the filler nozzle above that little hole and drizzle fuel in. In fact I can't imagine any fuel station hose running slow enough to do that. I'm sorry, I doubt the veracity of this claim.

Right. There a comment on this happening in another thread same person added this. We don't know it wasn't their car/vehicle and in most areas I know of you couldn't use the pumps due to the nozzle size. I've been to Europe, S. America and all of N. America but outside of the US I wasn't buying fuel of any kind. If this happened I did neglect to say replace the fuel filter just anyway but think most would dissolve the diesel with gasoline that even clean paint brushes of oil based paints by itself so just let that go. Worked at couple fuel stations over a zillion years the worst problem is the tanks usually in ground where I am use the same caps just colored differently so if the wrong product is put in the wrong tank you messed up everyone! That or purposely put less costly grades of gas in the costly tank to cheat once color coded so you could tell isn't always followed either but cheating is cheating you couldn't with mixing diesel and gasoline products or there would be a line of vehicles all broken down in sight of where they filled up. I don't know if this really happened or not either, T
