02 Park Avenue~Replacing Wheel Bearings-General Advice needed

I am replacing the front wheel bearings on an 02 Buick Park Avenue. This is the first time I have done a job like this and am a little nervous about getting into it. Can anyone tell me what size socket I need for the hub nut. The torque setting for the hub nut as well. Also I have recieved advice to grease around the area where the new bearing/hub assembly will be fitting in and advice saying it isn't needed. What do you think? Any other advce you can give would be helpful.
I am doing this without an impact as I do not have one available.
