06 chevy uplander fans Sign In

So this morning I start my van It runs for a min I put the air on while i run in to get something out of my house. I hear a loud noise and here the one fan lost ALL it's blades??
The other will move a little then gets jammed? My driveway is cement and I saw nothing around that could have got in there. What could have happened?

It could have just wore out and hit the shroud.

What would have wore out? The part between the fan and motor?

What difference does it make? I'm not there to see what failed. You need to replace the fan

It makes a big difference to me. Because the shop that has my van told me they know the warranty company and if they can blame me somehow they won't pay for the repair.

Nobody is going to have any idea what happened without at least looking at it.

No one has any clue what happened but the warranty co. covered the repair. Hopefully I will have it back today.
The bad thing is the shop is billing them like 500.00 for the repair but I have to pay the deductible of 100+ 30 something for taxes. I could have got the part on line for 100 and put it in myself Frown o well at least it's getting fixed

Good luck with the fix - let them do it as no telling what extent of the whole damage really is so far with pieces flying around or who knows?

Re: 06 chevy uplander fans Sign In

I just picked it up. It all seems good. They said it didn't cause any other damage.
