1988 mazda mx6 clutch adjustment

I have a 1988 mazda mx6, non-turbo. Today the clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed there after I drove it a short distance and made 3-4 gear shifts. I checked fluid reservoirs and found one at driver's-side, firewall that was empty of dot 3 fluid. I filled it and pumped clutch several times. I started engine and pumped clutch several more times. This worked. However, the clutch is still spongy. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do next? Thanks. P.S. I haven't figured out how to adjust the clutch cable (if that's what I need to do next).

I don't think there is an adjustment on this clutch cable. It is all hydralic. Since you had to add fluid than there must be a leak somewhere. The reason it still feels spongey is that there is air in the hydralic system somewhere. You will need to find the leak in the system, repair it, and then bleed the air out like you would with your brakes. Jeff
