I HAVE A 1991 CHEVROLET CAPRICE THAT WILL NOT START IT HAS TO CRANK FOR A LONG TIME LIKE ITS NOT GETTING FUEL. I REPLACED THE FUEL PRESSURE REG. AND GAVE IT A FULL TUNE UP STILL THE SAME PROBLEM. AFTER SOME TIME CRANKING IT STARTS UP AND RUNS LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG . IM AT A LOSS

I think you'll find that while cranking fuel pressure drops too low. Check voltage drop and fuel pressure - try with jumpers to see if that changes it all ,

yea...sounds like a fuel pump or relay problem

agree with tom,check fuel pressure...

i know we had some years back that had issues with the tank itself....tanks would collapse, noticeable from under..
all tho i think that issue was with stall concerns

Try turning the key to the run position, count to 2, turn to off position, turn to on position, count to 2, turn to off position, turn to on position, count to 2 and try to start the car. If it starts quickly, the fuel pump is probably weak as stated in the previous 2 posts.
