i have a 1991 buick skylark 4 door with manual windows, driver side window won't roll down, any help would be appreciated. i already have the inner panel off, i can't see anything that looks broken or malfuctioning, any advice on what exactly to look for? also, the crank will turn, but nothing happens, it just makes a clicking noise like what i'm assuming are the teeth on the gear are trying to catch the belt, but can't grab hold. Broken belt maybe? the window had worked fine, then would only roll down an inch or so, and gradually it would roll down less and less to the point that it barely cracks enough for air to get through.

If it has a belt, it sounds like the teeth are broken off. You need to remove the regulator and look at it closely. Be careful when you replace it and do not break your window. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
