My 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix LE 3.1 will not run. It will turn over like it is going to start but won't. We replaced the fuel relay and we know it isn't the fuel pump because the valve by/on the engine when pushed gas flows out. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what it might be??? Please help

Could still be low fuel pressure but first check for spark at an easy spark plug. Cam sensor can fail and be the reason for no spark amoung several things,

Thanks for the info. Also, here is some more details....the car was being driven at the time. Had to slow down for traffic and then when went to push gas, car died and then would not restart. Would that still be the same problem?

It can still be the fuel pump. It could put out fuel but pressure must be up there for fuel injected vehicles. Get a pressure reading done right where you tested that it did come out. Just with key on run it has to build up enough pressure. A clue would be if you hear the pump running and not shutting down as it should when it reaches full pressure.

The three most common reasons a car will not start that didn't just explode with a problem would be ..... lack of fuel/pressure thereof, spark and the timing thereof. You need to know which one is missing and we can chase down that one as the chances of two failures is much less with what you described,
