ok I have read all the Hondas not starting when its cool. My problem is the fuel pump is not priming when the vehicle is cool first thing in the morning, like 75 degrees. The engine light stays on when I turn the ignition and I don't actually hear the fuel pump come on and prime. it will crank but not start. Now when I come home from work in the afternoon, its hot and I turn the ignition, the engine light goes off I hear the fuel pump prime the system and the vehicle starts with no problem. in the past if the fuel got close to "E" on the fuel gauge I would have to crank the motor a few times before it would start. I don't know if the two problems are related. I thought it might have been wiring, I moved the wires and took the plastic off to the fuel pump and connected the wires without the plastic holder. but again it works fine when its hot. I bought a fuel pump relay it still does the same. Someone please help my funds are low, ex wife got the good cars, its a back and forth to work vehicle, not pretty but it gets me to work when its running that is. Thank you in advance

They have a lot of temperature related problems with the main relays. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You need to get a better mechanic if he can't figure out a "Crank, no start" on a Honda.

In your paragraph above, you never made any mention of checking for power and ground at the pump itself when it won't start. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Ok, now of course there was no power going to the fuel pump when it will not start. When the check engine light stays on with the ignition turned to the on point of the ignition. Once and or if when that light goes off you can hear the pretty going to the fuel pump because the fuel primes the system. Then it starts. I'm unable to figure out why or why not the check engine light staY's on or goes off. He did check the power to the pump and there was not power when the fuel pump didn't prime. He even hot powered it With the probe when the engine light was still on and it wouldn't start. The point when it started to start the delay from the time I turned the ignition on and the engine Light went off causing the fuel pump to prime was sometimes two seconds to thirty seconds. Of course ibthink that was when it warmed up.. he moved numerous wires and connections And it started. I tried to move the same wires the next morning and it would not start. I'm trying to makeall
