1994 Astro's Brakes Cause Misfire?

1994 Chevy Astro, 4.3L engine, over 150K miles on it The problem I'm having with this car is that it is accelerated when turned on, but pressing the brakes while parked slows down the engine. Actually, it doesn't just slow down, it starts sputtering and missing. I have no clue what the problem may be other than the brakes having something to do with it, but it seems unlikely. If anyone has a solution or can at least point me in the right direction, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Brakes that effect engine is frequently the fault of vacuum boosted power brakes. Plug it off (don't go anywhere) for a test for a bad booster. Check line to it replace with proper hose as needed and replace check valve too but those would more likely cause problems all the time, T
