Hello, new to this forum just looking for help with my truck - ive been having starting issues all winter where i would need boosts and such. The battery would always be good in these situations (new) and everytime i called CAA to help they would test it and it would pass but boost would start it. sunday the starter went and when that was replaced aswell as fender mount cylinoid the truck started up fine yesterday april 3rd, the truck just wouldnt start up anymore. It will start up with a boost no problem at all. i check with a voltage meter at the battery it says 12 volts and at the start and fender cylinoid all read 12 volts (engine off). Ill also mention that when the truck was run with a boost the bettery guage on the dash cluster with the truck lights off was moving up and down when the lights were on the battery guage was stable. the radio would work fine due to direct connect to battery (now removed) with no boost when i would try and start the truck the seat belt light would come on very dim on dashboard and the sound would be very quiet.

Need some advice where i should go from here.

This is not hard at all. You only have 2 choices here. Either the battery is no good or the is a connection problem at the battery. All jumpers are doing is adding more battery power directly to the cables.

Would start by checking battery cables, corrosion can "seep" inside insulation and cable still appear ok. Boosting gives more voltage, or pressure, and forces through marginal cables.
