1996 mercury Grand Marquis exhaust bolts Sign In

I have a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis, and the exhaust to manifold pair of stud bolts are stripped. I want to have the new pair when I get off the old bolts.
How can I find the size?
I went to 4 auto part stores, and 3 hardware stores, and they only have 12 mm which is too big.

I need to know if it is a 10mm or 11, and the entire exact size would be better. Does anyone know the correct size, and who has them in stock.
Rock auto, and home depot DO NOT.

You mean down on the manifold exhaust flange? These studs?

Those are the ones I found, but are 12mm for the manifold to engine. I need just the pair to connect the catalylic converter to the manifold. They look exactly like that, but are smaller size. No one has them in the auto store, but Dorman has them online. I need to find out if they are a 10mm or 11mm, but the place is closed till Monday morning. My guess is a 10mm since most of the bolts on my mercury are a 10 mm

These are the one that screw into the cylinder heads for the exhaust manifold.

I need the 2 that are on the front end of the catalylic converter. It connects near the starter, and connects to the end of the manifold. They are the 2 stud bolts that connect the front of the catalylic conv. to the car.

The two that bolt up the front pipe to the exhaust manifold outlet aren't bolts. They are studs and nuts. The stud screws into the exhaust manifold outlet.

Your saying 12mm studs are too big for the exhaust manifold outlet?

You could try the dealer if you can't find the right one. Call out number is N806227-S100 for the stud and N806228-S100 for the nut. Don't know if they are still available though.

Yes ,its the manifold outlet, and they are studs, and nuts. Nobody around me has them, but one dealer online. Thanks for the fast reply. I hope to get them early next week to finish the job.
