1996 plymouth neon TPS sensor problems

I have a 1996 plymouth neon DOHC 2.0 litre sport. 6 months ago the TPS sensor failed indicated by the irratic engine acceleration. I changed the TPS sensor flashed the computer and it seemed good to go.. It was fine for 2 months, then the same thing, this time I changed the TPS sensor and rang out the wires from the sensor to the PCM. Again it ran fine for a few months, then the TPS failed again, this time I figured that there was oviosly something causing the sensor to fail, so I changed the TPS sensor and the PCM and flashed the computer. I thought that this would fix the problem for sure but then the sensor failed for the 3rd time. Now I have no idea what is causing this... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
