1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (3.8L with 135k miles) Hello everyone, thanks for helping. My GTP won't start. I have owned it for two years. About once a month it would fail to start. It would turn all the lights on, but wouldn't start or act like it was trying. Sometimes it would take three turns of the keys to start, sometimes it would take ten minutes to get it to work. It seemed to do it if someone ran the car harder than usual (It didn't do it on my 1k mile road trip, but my roommate drivers harder than I and it did it twice to him). I haven't needed it since the summer started, so after it sits a long time, (1 week makes it not start automatically, three weeks makes it not start at all) it wont start. That's about all I know about it, otherwise it's pretty random. Its a 3800 series II. Supercharged. It has a new battery, and I replaced the starter and it still does it. Thank you for any help, I really appreciate it.

Will it start if you move the shifter lever to neutral? Does this have an after market alarm system installed? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

It didn't start after moving into neutral. As far as the after market alarm, I'm not sure. There's not even a key fob, so there isn't an alarm that I know of. However, there have been weird things as if someone has installed extra things. I have taken a few pictures of the extra things I have no clue what they were used for. The first one is by the passengers seat, the second is by the drivers side window, and the third is in the glove box. This is the album: http://imgur.com/a/AupHM

Here is a starting system schematic. Grab a volt meter and make electrical checks when the problem is occurring. Hopefully you can pinpoint the problem in the circuit somewhere. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Thank you, I will check when I'm off work. In the meantime, do any of those pictures look like anything to you? I have no clue what either of them are for and what those wires go to.
