Hello everyone, I am new to this. But I have a 1997 buick century. I am having some issues. First my windows wont role up or down, now I know some will say the window motors are blown. I don't think so, because if I pull on the wire that is located between the opening of the drivers door they go up. Second, only one of my speakers are working. Does this sound like a ground wire problem. I am totally new at this so if you can help, please do.

In the door jam (usually driver's door that get used most) there is a rubber snorkle with all the wires in it. From opening and closing the wires get frayed even inside their insulation and don't make the connection. It's tricky to get that rubber thing out of your way to look and see what's going on in there and fix that with high quality wire - soldered in and shrink wrap over the soldering job. It could be something else but that is somewhat common when you can just wiggle it there and it works again for a while,

Isolate your speaker with your head unit (fader / balance) does it make any noise? If not, if it is in an easy access area (Trunk) disconnect it and put a circuit tester on the wires while powered up. If there is power, the speaker is blown, if no power, you have a short or a pinch in your wiring.
