I have a 1997 toyota camry with a lot of play in the right front wheel. After jacking up the front end I found that the front right tire had about a half inch play. I first thought that it was the tie rod but foud that it play seems to be coming from the rack and pinion.( which is not leaking). MY question is, is there a joint that can be replaced on the end of the pinion to corect the problem? Please help.

That would be the inner tie rod end. A little harder to change but serviceable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
