1998 Ford Windstar Sign In

I started it this morning, letting it warm up. When I placed it in drive and turned on the lights, they dimmed and within minutes the car died. I now get a clicking noise when attempting to start it, but thats all. Please help!

Good chance the alternator is not putting out a charge. Good time to check the battery too,
