The Gas Pedal sticks -- almost always after sitting for a while, and sometimes when driving. It takes a lot of pressure to get it going, then you accelerate too fast. A real pain in parking lots. Any hope?

When you say sticks.... Do you mean that when you go to drive it sticks at the normal position or is it sticking after you press it down? Thanks

Take a look for somehting silly caught up around the pedal, then check under the hood where it goes to throttle body (should be a black cable). If nothing seen call GM with you vin# and see if it's been recalled, then if this thing can stick with engine running too fast take care of that right away. If the cable is all frayed inside it's not safe and will probably break soon anyway. Good luck, don't wait, Tom

Sounds like a dirty throttle body to me. Remove air induction, open throttle, and see if there's accumulated crud around the throttle plate-to-body area. If so, a toothbrush and a spray can of carb cleaner will work wonders.
