1999 Pontiac Sunfire Starting Issues Sign In

I have a 99 Sunfire. It has a 2.2 engine with 160000 miles. First thing in the morning, it start as soon as you turn the key. After it gets hot, and it sits for a little while, it gets harder to start. It has to keep turning over for several seconds, before it will finally start. The hotter the weather is, the harder it is to start. I can sometimes smell fuel when it is having trouble starting. I have replaced fuel filter, and crank sensor, and spark plugs. The car runs great other than the starting issue. Thank you for any help that can be provided.

Check for codes - even if the CEL is off...
do a fuel pressure test - also a leak down test looking for a leaking inj.
Check the ECT - basically what temp does the PCM see.

Hoping somethig above helps
next we would look at
SPARK at several plugs.....
Injectors pulsing....
with a scanner - Ft's etc.

I have checked for codes, none are showing. I did replace the ect sensor, no changes, checked the temp with scan tool, shows same as ambient temp. I have not done a pressure check, I am not sure how to without a schrader valve to hook up to. Thank you for your reply, and any other help that you can provide.

I put a new gas cap on, and have tried loosening cap before I try starting the engine, it does not make any difference. Thank you for your reply, and any other help that you provide.
