2000 Buick LeSabre sideview mirror replacement Sign In

2000 Buick LeSabre
3.8L engine
130k miles

I bought this car in August of 2014, and on the driver's side mirror it seems to have water buildup behind the glass. It has been like this since before I bought it, so I'm not exactly sure what caused the water to build up. I did some research and noticed that this isn't an uncommon problem, and I also figured out that I can just replace the glass. I found a website that you can order parts from: link deleted ........ not allowed
but I noticed in the specs that this glass doesnt have the "heated" feature, however my car has the feature of heated sideview mirrors.
I was wondering if it makes a difference if I were to buy a non-heated mirror glass to replace a heated one?

Not sure if you are going to get heated ones so easy at all if wanted without buying the entire assembly. Ones I've seen and used were just double mirrors such that they fit either side and double stick foam tape to fit over broken one or onto plastic behind it.
Not the point but have NOT seen the right side ones with the wide view heated or not.

Was not all too impressed with just one replaced but was better than nothing at all. If you want better try an auto glass place,

I think your only way out of this is with a complete mirror assembly.

That's at least the best way. Super popular vehicles they do sell decent clones. OE by dealer some are wild expensive - many could need painting to match if not just plain black model by model.

I personally have little faith in the web for this stuff as I want this type thing in hand first then purchase no matter what savings and we know you can't do without. Not sure what vehicles require heated or not but is very handy with icing rains if applicable for where it's used.

Basic needed item and not cheap,

T
