Hi everyone. I'm having some trouble with my girlfriends car. She has a 2001 saturn with over 90k miles on it. We just got back from a big road trip, driving her car across the country from Washington state to Maryland. The car ran fine for the whole trip. After we arrived the car sat for a couple days. The next time we tried to start it, it wouldn't. I'm not great at describing things so i took a video of the engine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq7lbpkBG6k If you guys have any ideas or suggestions that would be great. Just wanted to see if it was something easily diagnosable and something i could fix/replace myself, or if i needed to get a mechanic involved. Thank you so much.

The first thing I would check there is a compression test. It cranks a little too fast like it may not have good compression. This would be an indicator of a bad timing chain, especially if you were hearing any rattling from the engine prior to the failure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
