2001 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 50000 miles I noticed driving about 45-50 MPH last night that my temp gauge was reading high, it did not go into the red and I didn't get any engine lights This morning when i checked the engine coolant it appears that it has all leaked out. I checked the oil and it seems normal. Is is possible that I have damaged the head gasket, the car was running normal. Thanks No links.....

No way to tell for sure short of fixing the coolant leak first, but if you didn't run it really hot you will probably be alright. But don't run it until the coolant leak has been repaired or you might do some major damage
