2001 silverado 5.3 4wd. I need to remove the rear calipers so i can turn the rotors. Are the bolts regular thread or reverse? They seem real tight.

Both the caliper mounting bolts & bracket bolts are regular threads (right handed). The bracket bolts are very tight. I use a 3' breaker bar or inpact gun to break loose. The mounting bolts should be easier to loosen but the problem is being forward mounted.... They get all the water & other junk on them while driving and are know to seize up.... If they don't come loose the whole assembly needs to be replaced...

There are tricks to get around that & get pads on it but the main problem would still be there....It won't slide anymore so it's best to get them loosened........
