Hello, when trying to put gas in my truck the gas comes spraying back out the fuel filler neck. This did not start happening until after I replaced all the fuel lines and the fuel pump. I'm going to replace the fuel filler neck next but I'm not sure if that would cause this issue. Just replacing the fuel filler neck because it's rusted out. There is one rubber hose that runs from the engine on top of the trans but I am unable to see what it may connect to. I find it strange that I was able to put gas in before. The only thing I can figure is its something with the Vapor Canister. Thank you

There is a vapor vent valve that defaults to "open" to allow air to escape while fueling and that is usually the problem but I'm a little concerned about the timing here of right after you messed with the hoses. Makes me wonder if you caused it there somehow.

If you had the tank down, make sure you didn't pinch any of the hoses between the body and the tank.

Thank you, I did not remove the gas tank instead I removed the bed of the truck to get to the fuel pump. Did not remove completely i just moved the bed of the truck back so I could get to the fuel pump. I will check to see if maybe I pinched a hose. This is the type of fuel filler neck that I'm replacing. I noticed that some have another line I believe for air but this one does not. [http://autoforums.carjunky.com/photos/pic/591XzYBu/1744.jpg]

I don't think you should do that. That second hose is important and you will have problems without it. I don't believe your problem has anything to do with the filler pipe.

I put the new fuel filler neck in and went to put gas in at the pump with no issue. Not sure why it stopped spraying gas back out at me but it seems to work. Before it would spit out gas right away but I filled the gas tank up with no issues. Will keep an eye on it and hope it keeps working. Thank you
