2002 Saturn L300 - CLIC-R clamp removal

I've got CLIC-R style hose clamps on my intake runners. I need to remove these so I can remove the runners to get to my spark plugs. Any tip to remove these clamps without having to buy a special tool?

As you seem aware that there are special pliers for these type of clamps; you’ll need them to attempt reusing the clamps.
But for the cost of a gear clamp that all you will need is a screwdriver to tighten them; you could cut the original clamp(s) off and use a gear clamp as a replacement.
