2003 Dodge Neon Oil Pressure gadge problem?

I drive a 2003 Dodge Neon SE. Sometimes when i start the car the oil pressure gadge is on. But If i turn the car off then start it back up again it turns off. Also when The oil pressure gadge is on the car makes the clicking noise like there is no oil in the moter. But when i restart the car and the gadge is off it souinds and runs fine, any ideas. Also there is oil in the car

To start if the engine is "rapping" when the light comes on, before driving it anymore the pressure needs to be checked with a mechanical gauge. If there is no pressure you can damage the engine by running it.....
