I have had my fan clutch replaced which is what they thought the problem was, my ac fan is working too. When it is overcast, night time, and winter I do not have a problem, it is only when it is sunny. The temperature gauage goes up to hot, it cools down some when we are in freah air, it goes half way between warm and hot. This has been happening for almost a year now, we took a 10 hour trip in March and not one problem but now that it is hot and sunny here in SC it is doing it again.

Do your best not let this overheat. Possibly a plugged radiator or a water pump that has corroded and flow inadequate. You should be able to feel plenty of warm air blowing off engine when fully warmed up. If not, chase down not. I find them less common but thermostat (correct temp rating only) for the price of them would be worth it too. Any time a temp gauge on this layout fluctuates once fully warmed up don't wait - find out why as you risk real engine/gasket damage, T
