Can't really give you any advice other than what you have already done. It could be sucking air into the power steering system and causing the pump to cavitate or any number of things. You'll probably have to wait till after the holidays till you can get a shop to look at it.

Hi in regards to the steering noise, finally got it to a garage who advised me leak in steering pipe therefore pipe and pump had to be replaced, Paid £375.00 put it in to garage in morning and got it back that afternoon. I would like to thank you for your assistance and knowledge.
