2005 Ford Taurus Sign In

Does the Taurus have a PCV valve?? It is the vulcan engine V6. If so where exactly is it? Autozone says it does not have one.

Re: 2005 Ford Taurus Sign In

Managed to find it at O'reillys. Looks like all you have to do is disconnect the wire , unscrew it and reverse the process to replace. Am I correct??

Re: 2005 Ford Taurus Sign In

I don't think anything has to be "unscrewed". One end should push into the hose and the other end pushed into the grommet in the valve cover.

Re: 2005 Ford Taurus Sign In

Mine is different. I has an electrical connection to it and in the Oreilly pics it has a wide thread on the bottom, hence the unscrewing.

I'll fix that link

Re: 2005 Ford Taurus Sign In

That is a heated PCV

It's on the back of the engine (right side) toward the front

Re: 2005 Ford Taurus Sign In

I wouldn't really call it "unscrew". It's more like "twist and lock"

I suspect it may only be on cars with California emissions certification.
