The trunk on my recently purchased WRX will not open and there is a massive subwoofer blocking me from popping it open on the inside. I've taken the seats out and there still isn't enough clearance to get to the release latch with this damn subwoofer and speaker in the way.
Can anyone suggest another method I can get the boot open to hook the latch back up?

I don't have a crystal ball on how this was altered so totally lost for exact anything except this type problem is potentially going to cause you or another to cut thru good body parts to get to!

Try asking an auto body repair place where that's the specialty including collision damage have tools and tricks to open wrecked/bent and broken things as a trade at least for in person suggestions and help or just let them solve it?
Only a maybe a handful of vehicles did put some release in blocked off trunks you'd need to know if that is one probably by its VIN # if a chance or not for that.

Tough deal sorry you have to deal with that,

Cheers for the reply Tom, it was a hassle but I was able to take off enough of the cover behind the backseat to get clearance to unscrew the boot speaker and crawl through to pop open the boot.

Thankfully I didn't have to cut through body parts to unlatch it, but it's good to know for a worse case scenario.

Cheers
