how can I locate a vacuum hose on my 2006 Pathfinder 4 liter V6? I'd like to run a bit of sea foam motor treatment directly to the injectors without diluting through the gas tank.

Running it through a vacuum hose will not allow it to go to the injectors. It will go to the back of the intake valve, but will not help the injectors at all. You have to introduce it through the fuel system to help clean injectors. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

I got some advice to run it thru the vacuum hose, maybe I should do both to clean out the intake too! Any advice would be appreciated (oh yeah, and how to find the vacuum hose). Thanks much way2.

Pardon my jumping in; As W2O mentioned, the only way to clean the injectors is to go directly through them. I recommend using an injection cleaning machine called a Motor Vac. Using this or actually removing the injectors and having the cleaned ulta-sonically are the two options. Additives in the tank are okay for maintenance in between cleanings, but that's about it. Most gasoline nowadays has detergents in it, already. Back in the old days, on carbureted vehicles, we'd remove the PCV valve from the engine and s-l-o-w-l-y pour combustion chamber cleaner through it. But, you take the chance of a piece of carbon coming loose doing that. No chemical that you can run through an engine can disolve carbon. Remember, that's where diamonds come from. (No, you won't find any diamonds in your carbon. Sorry) Loren SW Washington
