Hi all, My 2007 Honda CRV has been giving me VSA warnings recently. It seems a hard press on the brake will trigger on both the VSA lights and the triangle with the exclamation mark and they will stay on. When I approach a red light, if I press gently on the brake way ahead and took some time to gradually come to a full stop, nothing happens. However, if I press the brake as usual, both lights will come on and stay on. Another thing I noticed is that I need to put my foot on the brake pedal when I start the car. If I start the car without putting my foot on the brake pedal, and then when I try to put my foot on the brake and shift to "back", the shift release button will not go in to unlock. I have to turn the car off, put my foot on the brake pedal and then start the car, then there is no problem to shift the lever. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You're going to need a dealer level scan tool to scan all the modules to get the store codes and that will be your starting point. You could have an issue with the brake pedal sensor but I wouldn't go throwing parts at it without some confirmation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
