Hello. I have been having an intermittent problem with my starter. I guess it's the starter cause I just replaced the battery. Only when it's cold, I have issues with the car starting correctly. Sometimes , it will not do anything for a second (like it's dead or no battery connected). Then it will start right up. Other times, it will sound like it is hesitating or not enough power to start(again for a split second). then it starts right up. Since this only happens when it's cold, I thought for sure it was a battery. Most of the time it just starts normally (probably 985-90% of the time). But, i dont want to have to deal with this with our winter coming in NY. I was going to check the ground strap on the frame . But, does it sound like the starter is going? It has 105k on it. Idk if it's the original. Bought the car a couple years ago. I have read about many starter issues with hyundais. Thanks

IDK yet but sounds more like a lousy connection guess at the starter. When all cut out if so it usually a connection would think you have batter ends all clean there is another go engine block and to body metal as well - all matter. Charge battery anyway when new not really charged up so diagnosis isn't ready till you know it is or was totally charge - new isn't enough to know that! Other is know charging system is up to par, know that too. I hear you NY I'm in MA expecting quick spell of maybe 15F here is early for that and we've just started this Winter game! Tom
