Hey guys, hoping somebody can give me some advice on what the problem could be . I have noticed coolant leak over the last two weeks. looks like it is coming from the bottom of the engine.. What could it be causing this .. my mechanic seems to think water pump. What do you all think? Thanks for your time

Crawl underneath the vehicle with the engine off with a flashlight and look up at the water pump. On the bottom side of the pump you will see a small hole just behind the fan. On GM vehicles, this is the most common place for them to leak. If there is coolant around it or if you see a stain going down the pump from the hole then the pump is leaking. Don't let this go too long because when the pump seal finally fails, coolant pours out of there. Steve
