Hello everyone. I haven't posted here before and I'd just like to get a few questions answered from experienced auto mechanics...My 92 Blazer stopped running about a year ago, my uncle looked at it (my mechanic) ended up figuring out that I need a new spider injector (CPI) and that is why it stopped running. Well they are very expensive new so I'm probably going to buy a used one to make sure that is the problem (he said thats all I need to get it running).. I found someone who will sell me the spider injector for $50. I have seen pictures of it and I know what it looks like but how will I know that it is the correct one for my S10 blazer? I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter what year it is as long as its like 88-94 or something like that and my brother is working on becoming a mechanic and works at advance auto parts said that I could even use a S10 pickup spider injector because its the same thing. My question would be, how am I going to identify that it is the correct one when I get there if I'm not bringing my uncle along.. Aren't there other vehicles that use similar spider injectors and he could just give me a different one to make a couple bucks?? It's not going to say like S10 CPI or something on it is it lol? Thanks all..

Have your uncle take the old one out so you can take it with you. I the 5.7 liters in the same year range use the same set up but am not sure if it is the same or not. Jeff
