Can anyone tell me where the oil pump is located on a 3.3 skylark? I just bought the car, it was in serious need of an oil change- changed the oil and it ran fine for a minute but the lifters started ticking, and no oil pressure.

The oil pump is built into the timing cover at the crankshaft. Make sure it's not just the pick up screen being all plugged up.

Thanks for the info. How big of a job is it to put a oil pump repair kit in? Is the pump part of the timing chain cover itself and slides onto the crank shaft or do I have to take off the timing chain to get to it?

Yes, it's part of the cover but I certainly wouldn't go that far without putting a chain in too.
