1992 Mazda 626 DX: the rear wheels are out of alignment and the tires wear out on the outer side. Last time I took the car for alignment they told me that the camber is not adjustable for the rear wheels. How does one fix this problem? Would changing the rear struts solve the situation?

Ok: It sure sounds like camber is way off and if not mechanically adjustable then what did the alignment shop suggest? If that far out of spec you may need to replace or straighten a bent part, T
