I just chaged the fuel pump on my S10 but still was not getting power to the pump when you first turn the key. I ran a wire from the battery to a wiring block on hte fire wall and this works to get the power to the pump when you turn the key but the truck will only run for a few seconds then it will shut off. Once this happens you have to let it sit for about a minute before it will start again.

Check the fuel pump fuse and the ECM fuses. If they are good check the fuel pump relay. There should also be a fuel pump prime connector that you can run a jumper wire to, to test the fuel pump. Steve
